Uteem Chambers aims to provide prospective law practitioners with solid foundations and fundamentals for their careers in the legal profession, where they will be exposed to our various practice areas.

Pupillage is undertaken with the Head of the Chambers, Mr. Muhammad R C UTEEM, whose practice involves a significant proportion of transactional work and advice. Pupils will also have the opportunity to regularly shadow and assist junior members of the chambers in their transactional and court work.

Pupils who satisfy the requirements of the Law Practitioners Act 1984 and who wish to undertake their pupillage at Uteem Chambers should send their application to us by way of email. They should clearly indicate the period of pupillage applied for and are requested to submit certified copies of inter alia the following documents along with their application:

•National Identity Card
•School Certificate
•Higher School Certificate
•Degree Certificate
•Bar Certificate
•Letter of motivation
•Signed and dated CV with full contact details of pupil

Uteem Chambers is always happy to accommodate undergraduate students (both local and international) for a mini pupillage, irrespective of whether such traineeship forms part of an academic requirement and/or is requested by a university.

Students who wish to undertake their mini pupillage at Uteem Chambers and catch a glimpse of our actual legal practice should send their application to us by way of email.
